PICOT Question: In orthopedic surgical patients (P), does a preoperative (T) methicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) screening protocol (I), compared to patients who are not screened for MRSA (C), eliminate postsurgical site infections (O)? Describe the reouses (human, fiscal, and other) or changes needed in the implementation of the solution. Consider the clinical tools or process changes that would need to take place.
